ESC Congress 2019, together with the World Congress of Cardiology is the world’s largest gathering of healthcare professionals dedicated to fighting heart disease. This exceptional, international gathering provides healthcare professionals with the very latest cardiovascular science so they can better care for their patients. More than 32,000 delegates from 150 countries are expected. The event will feature more than 500 sessions during the five-day conference.
ESC Congress is typically the platform for introducing innovative research, not only in its exciting ‘Hot Line’ and ‘Late-Breaking Science’ sessions but also in highly interactive discussion forums. In addition, ESC Congress 2019 will stimulate increased dialogue between professionals in clinical cardiology and basic science.
Special session are organised for general practitioners as well as for nurses and allied professionals. For the first time, a dedicated session for emergency room staff organised with the French Society of Cardiology will address a ‘Heart Team’, multidisciplinary approach.
Our focus this year will be on Global Cardiovascular Health. Together with the World Heart Foundation this is an opportunity to address the differences in prevention strategies, access to care and management of cardiovascular diseases around the world.
